Let's just say our job in the US is done for now and it is time to go back home. Shruti and I are returning to Mumbai at the end of October. We will carry back memorable moments from our time in the US: the parties, road trips, startups, ideas, cracking the code, problem solving, craigslist, blueberries, wine, mountains, lakes, snow, runs, beaches, dance, gigs, deals, money, stock options, weather, cars, hacks, radio stations, the daily show; but most of all those who helped us live each moment to the fullest. As our life-in-the-US flashes in front of our eyes, the life ahead of us fiercely beckons and we hope that you would remain an integral part of the celebration.

We would be in Italy in transit. We have collected some cool material from our Yellowstone and Grand Teton visits. November and December promise to be great months for this blog. We remain!

April 2007: Water splits rock and rock splits water. Light splits water and water splits light. The Mist Trail provides some of the most spectacular views of the Vernal Falls in Yosemite National Park.

Sep 2007: The sun has set on overcast skies for our friends 3,000 ft below. Drifting haze from the Lick fire in Santa Clara county makes the sun more orange than on a regular summer evening. Anup flies us over the Bay Area in his Beechcraft Bonanza a.k.a. Banana. Our secret passage into the twilight zone or a spectacular sunset over undercast skies; is a matter of perspective.

Silver Sliver

April 2007: A sister photo of Silver Apron and another sliver of this gorgeous section of Merced River. While that picture contrasts the fixed with the moving, the stationary object here seems to be swept away, thus underlining the motion. Mind you, there was hardly a wind in the air.

Falling for a Rainbow

April 2007: While we are on the Yosemite theme, here's an alternate view of Vernal Falls and of a rainbow. The race between sunlight and waterfall to first hit rock-bottom ends up in the water getting split into a spray of million prims and the light getting split into a band of seven colors. This picture taken from the top of Vernal falls looking down.

April 2007: The scorching overhead sun of a clear spring day sweeps the green leaves off their color giving them the uncharacteristic fall colors. Find the red in the picture that underlines this phenomenon. Spotted, yet again, out of nowhere along a popular hike in the Sierras.
